Microsuction is the gold standard for earwax removal. We use a tiny suction device under microscope vision to gently remove wax. No water pressure or syringing involved.
The process is quick, safe, and immediately effective. You’ll hear the difference as soon as we’re done. Most appointments take 20-30 minutes.
Three core services, all delivered by a qualified clinical pharmacist. No GP referral needed for any of them.
Ear Wax Removal

Ear Wax Removal
Complete treatment for both ears including examination, microsuction, and aftercare support.

Same-day and walk-in appointments available at standard prices. No hidden fees or extra costs.
Earwax removal is carried out exclusively by Tara, our trained microsuction specialist. The service is available Tuesday to Friday only. If we find no earwax or notice signs of infection, Tara can assess the condition and prescribe the appropriate treatment.
Getting your ears cleared is simple and quick. Three steps to better hearing.
Call us or book online. Same-day appointments are usually available. Walk-ins are welcome if we have space.
We check your ears first using an otoscope. This shows us exactly what’s blocking your hearing.
We gently remove the wax using professional equipment. It takes 20-30 minutes. You’ll hear clearly again immediately.
Blocked ears are miserable. Everything sounds muffled. You feel pressure and discomfort. Some people get dizzy or experience ringing.
GP surgeries often don’t offer earwax removal anymore. Private ear clinics charge high prices and have long waiting lists. That’s where we come in.
Orrell Park Pharmacy provides professional microsuction earwax removal right here in Liverpool. Our trained healthcare professionals use the same equipment and techniques as hospital ENT departments.
We see patients with all sorts of earwax problems. Completely blocked ears. Partial blockages causing hearing loss. Wax impacted from cotton buds. Hearing aid users who get frequent build-up.
Your ears are delicate. Earwax removal needs proper training and the right equipment.
At Orrell Park Pharmacy, we only use microsuction for earwax removal. This is the safest method recommended by ear specialists. We don’t use water irrigation or syringing, which carry higher risks.
Before treatment, we examine your ears carefully. Sometimes what seems like wax is actually an infection or other problem. We’ll spot this and advise you properly.
The procedure itself is gentle. Most patients find it comfortable, though you’ll hear some suction noise. We work carefully to remove all the wax without causing discomfort.
After treatment, we check your ears are completely clear. You’ll get advice on preventing future build-up. If we spot any concerns, we’ll recommend seeing your GP.
We’re conveniently located on Moss Lane. No need to travel across Liverpool for ear care. Professional treatment available locally.

Dianna was very pleasant and a great servicePosted on Google AlanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had large skin tag removed and I must admit I was concerned due to the size. All I can say is absolutely brilliant.Posted on Google Jessica RobertsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an allergy blood test done here this morning and the staff were amazing. The pharmacist was great when I was feeling unwell and even got me a cup of tea. The allergy test is also great value for money compared to other private companies.Posted on Google Melissa O'BrienTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. My whole family use this pharmacy and are greatful for the services and the team. Thank youPosted on Google Miss ElytraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The staff are always very helpful and give good advice. The lack of the fifth star is because they allow non service dogs. I was in there recently collecting my Epi-Pens and allergy prevention meds (one of my allergies being to dogs) and another custom brought a dog in and let it approach everyone. I don't think this is safe for those with allergies/phobias and it would be safer if only guide dogs (or other medical assistance dogs) were allowed in.Posted on Google GarryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a wonderful pharmacy this is ! I don’t live in the immediate area but I can always count on them to give me the best service possible. I was so pleased to see Diana again today as my b12 injection was well overdue in my own doctor’s surgery. Diana administered the injection with her usual calm demeanour and advised me as to when I should have it topped up. Thanks again Diana ! I would have no hesitation in recommending this pharmacy to anyone who needs advice and reassurance.Posted on Google Janet CreevyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So lucky to have this pharmacy on our doorstep. The boss Diana and staff are all kind and helpful. The best part, for those with busy lives is that you can pick up your prescription 24/7 from the cashpoint style dispensary. I put my prescription through to the doctor, and within a week I get a text to get me know its ready. You get a pin number to enter at the machine and hey presto, your medication is dispensed. This is ideal for those who can't make regular opening times, or just get there after closing. It saves standing around inside the pharmacy and mixing with people with coughs and colds. Ideal for me and my husband. Thanks for a great service for decades.

Yes, microsuction is safer and more effective. We can see exactly what we’re doing under magnification. There’s no water pressure that might damage your eardrum. Ear specialists recommend microsuction as the best method. Syringing is outdated and carries more risks.
No, microsuction is generally comfortable. You’ll hear suction noises which some people find odd, but there’s no pain. If your ears are very blocked or sensitive, you might feel slight discomfort. We work gently and stop if anything hurts.
Most appointments last 20-30 minutes. This includes examining your ears, performing the microsuction, and checking everything is clear afterwards. Very impacted wax might take slightly longer. We never rush the procedure.
Yes, absolutely. Most people need both ears treated. We examine both first, then clear whichever ears are blocked. The £50 price covers both ears in one visit. Much better value than two separate appointments.
Sometimes what feels like blocked ears is actually an infection, fluid, or other problem. We’ll spot this during the examination. If there’s no wax to remove, we don’t charge you. We’ll explain what’s happening and recommend seeing your GP if needed.
